Inside Line Promotions - SPENCER, Iowa - Daryn Pittman will lead the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series into Clay County Fair Speedway on Friday, Sept. 12.
Pittman capitalized on a top-five finish during last season's event - The Arnold Motor Supply Shootout with associate sponsors Bob's Bike Shop, H&N Chevrolet, Vanderhaag's and Justice Brothers - to garner his first career series championship.
He is looking to repeat that performance and perhaps earn his first World of Outlaws win at the 3/8-mile track.
"I've kind of always struggled there," he said. "In years past I haven't ran very well. It's one I'm looking forward to going back to. I enjoy it. I like the place. Being at the fair, they get a good crowd. I just haven't had a lot of success there."
Donny Schatz, who leads the championship standings and has recorded 19 feature wins this season, has claimed four of the eight previous World of Outlaws events at Clay County Fair Speedway.
Brad Sweet, Craig Dollansky, Jac Haudenschild and Jason Meyers have also visited Victory Lane.

A pit/combo ticket is also available, which includes a reserved seat, a pit pass and a "Class of 2014" poster of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series drivers. Adult pit/combo tickets are $38 and pit/combo tickets for children aged 0 to 12 are $25.
General admission seating is available as well for $32 per adult ticket and $15 for children aged 6 to 12 years old. Children 5 years old and younger get in free.
