IF WEATHER DICTATES, THIS SATURDAY NIGHT'S "MILLER LITE 2003 SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP" WILL RUN SUNDAY NIGHT AS RAIN-DATE!

"If the weather gets out of hand this Saturday night, we'll re-schedule the "MILLER Lite 2003 Season Championship/Fan Appreciation Night" the next night, on Sunday", Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg's owner and director Earl Walls mentioned Thursday. "Last year we were rained out of the scheduled championship night when it rained, but we re-scheduled it for two weeks later. We just don't want to leave a year-long challenge for championships in the four big classes just hanging there".

"Of course, we may not be hampered tonight, because the rains are scattered, and of course we always stick by what we say; 'When there's a way to run, we race at CMS' ", Walls added. "It'd be best to get it in Saturday night, but if not, the forecast is encouraging the next day and we'll do it then, same place, same times, same events. And we'll run the entire program at full speed so everyone can get home at a decent hour".

Three of the four classes are still up for grabs heading into this final racing program, and the champs won't be known until Hershel Thompson's final checkered flag for 2003 is thrown. Kevin 'kid' Coyne with nine feature wins to his credit this season, is the only pre-determined champion in his Country Kitchen Limited Late Model division.
