A well deserved congrats to Team# 24 for winning the MERC Championship by only 11 points! This was by far the closest ever finish in the club and the top 15 also went down to the last lap before it was finalized. A few regulars of this site, Scruffy and last years MERC Champ, Kenny Johnson had solid years and came into the yearend money. Scruffy finished 2nd and his 2nd team also did well, finishing 5th. Kenny finished 13th after being near the bottom at the early part of the season. Out of the 50 teams in the MERC, I'm happy to say that 46 teams won at least once in the weekly winnings. Also, the MERC collected over $1000.00 at our monthly get-togethers at Joey G's which we were able to add to our yearend payout. All in all, the MERC payed out over $6500.00 in weekly and yearend money counting sponsorship money. Go to our website, www.merclub.com to check out all the final results which should be up around Tuesday. Also, go to the team page and see how the people you know did in 2003. See you MERC members the 7th of Dec.! Ed

Congrats, John on the championship. I'll get you next year. See you all December 7th, If any of you stl racing fans want to check this club out, come over to Joey G's on the 7th. P.S. Ed Harvick killed me trying to win the race on the first lap. What a dumb *****!!!!

Also, besides the top 15 in points who will get money, congradulations to the MERC Rookie of the Year, Team # 24 Jeff Gordon ****s Racing. Runner-up Rookie, Team #40 T.C. Racing. Most Improved Team, #88 Italiano Racing. Most weekly checks won, team #00 Speedzone Racing. MERC Truck Series Champ, team # 63 Delashmit Racing. We had a banner year, a photo finish in a bunch of positions, and are looking forward to even a better 2004 (if that's possible!)
