(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams were rained out last Friday afternoon before the $3,000 to win event at the Midway Speedway in Crooksville, OH. All three Conley’s were slated to compete in that event before the rains postponed the show. Delmas and his son Rod hit the track on Saturday at nearby K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, OH for a $2,000 to win feature event.

Delmas qualified third for the event, but had mechanical problems in the dash and was relegated to use a back-up car for the feature event. He ended up finishing third at the Chillicothe oval after all was said and done. His son “Hot Rod” won his heat and started eighth in the feature. After two laps, the Conley Trucking #71r Rocket / Draime Monte Carlo was up to fourth, but that was as far up the running order that Rod could get. He wound up finishing a solid fourth. R.J. was busy watching his son, J.T., play basketball and advance to Orlando, FL for the AAU Nationals. He ended up making it to K-C before the feature, but he was just there to watch.

All three Conley’s are slated to attend the same events again this coming weekend. They are scheduled to be at the $3,000 to win, rain-postponed show at the Midway (OH) Speedway on Friday night. The next night, all three will head to Peebles, OH for the MACS-sanctioned, $5,000 to win show at the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex. Rod is currently fourteenth in the point standings after only two events. You can find out more about this event by visiting www.macsracing.com.
