Dale McDowell Qualifies 77th for Alltel 100, Second in WoO Points After Last Weekend

(CHICKAMAUGA, GA) Dale McDowell qualified 77th fastest tonight out of 294
Modifieds in qualifying for the $100,000 to win 'Alltel 100' at the
Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, AR. Dale drove a #17m Modified for car
owner Larry Shaw and will continue to drive it all week long. Heat races
and nightly features start tomorrow night and will last through Friday. The
Manufacturers Race, States Race, and the 100-lap 'Alltel 100' are on tap for

Dale is coming off a weekend in which he finished ninth at the Smoky
Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN on Friday night and twelfth at the North
Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA on Saturday. Both events paid $10,000 to
the winner and were sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.

standings, only three points behind leader Scott Bloomquist.

Dale will be back in his familiar Petroff Towing / J&J Steel / New Vision
Graphics #17m Larry Shaw / Racetek Grand Prix in North Dakota, Nebraska, and
Iowa next week with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The team will
unload next at the Red River Valley Speedway in W. Fargo, ND next Tuesday
for a $10,000 to win WoO show. The Midwestern tour continues later next
