Inside Line Promotions - DELPHOS, Ohio (Sept. 19, 2018) - Shawn Dancer will head to Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, this weekend for a doubleheader featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on Friday and the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Saturday.
"It should be a good weekend of racing," he said. "Friday night the World of Outlaws are in town and they always bring along stout competition and a great crowd."
Dancer has continuously improved at the half-mile track and the last time he was there he ran his fastest lap time.
"I think we're starting to get the feel of things at that track," he said. "We've run there a decent amount this year and have seemed to improve little by little every time we race there."
On Saturday, Dancer will once again compete at the high-banked oval, but this time with the All Stars.
"Saturday should be another good and fun night of racing," he said. "The All Stars also have great competition that follow them so it'll be interesting to see who all will show up for either one or both days."
Dancer recently ended his 360ci sprint car season with the NRA Sprint Invaders. He finished sixth in the championship standings even though he missed a handful of races throughout the season.
"Finishing sixth was pretty decent," he said. "We had one of the highest finishing averages of the series so that was good. Overall, our season stats may not have seemed that great, but we raced with a lot tougher competition more often. I feel like that's important because the better people you race, the better you become."
