(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) The #16 B&B Motorsports team returned to dirt-slinging competition over the April 18-19 weekend, as they unloaded their Crate Late Model at a pair of different venues in North Carolina and Virginia. On Friday night at Clary's Speedway in Brinkleyville, North Carolina, Daniel Baggerly sported the only Crate car in the Limited Late Model field and posted the thirteenth quickest lap during the qualifying session. Daniel then got some quality laps under his belt during the feature at the track known as the "Ring of Fire" and eventually finished fifteenth in the final rundown.
Next up was a Saturday visit to the pristine Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia for another weekly program. Daniel blistered the field during Crate Late Model qualifying, as he set a New Track Record for the class with an 18.700 second lap. After being inverted back to sixth for the start of the 25-lap main event, "Bagz" quickly moved up to the second position and set his sights on leader Walker Arthur. Daniel closed to within a couple car lengths behind the leader, but was forced to settle for a strong runner-up behind Arthur. Daniel and his #16 team are currently undecided about this upcoming race weekend. If they do unload their Rocket racecar, it will be on Saturday, April 26 at the nearby Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. A regular weekly show for the Late Models will take place at the picturesque 1/2-mile facility, but the event will carry double points.
