SEAFORD, DE (July 8, 2005) - The Delaware Destroyer has been on the prowl...

Matt and the #12 HabNab Transportation/Trinity Trucking team recently competed in the three-day MACS series' swing in Ohio. In spite of a few glitches, they had a strong showing at the $10,000 finale including a great heat race run from 10th to finish third behind Robbie Blair and Booper Bare.

In addition to the full MACS schedule, the team has participated in selected World of Outlaws' Late Model events during an east coast swing. The #12 again experienced motor problems at the Bridgeport WoO event after qualifying for the feature. They did receive some redemption when the prominent national tour rolled into Delmar, DE, for the July 6th show. Matt followed in the foot tracks of fellow Rayburn driver and current WoO points leader, Billy Moyer, both in the heat race and the B-Main. Matt was running a solid second in the B-Main but his soft tires gave away at the end and he fell back but was able to hang on to a top-5 finish and make the feature event. After starting 21st, The Delaware Destroyer finished 11th place - sandwiched between Rayburn veteran pilots and World 100 winners Dan Schlieper and Billy Moyer. Matt is still in the early part of a big learning curve but he has shown a lot of promise for a spry young teenager that doesn’t even possess a drivers license yet!

The Hubbard Motorsports team is westbound and en route to a few U.M.P. Summernationals' events over the next week before returning to the DelMarVa region for the NARA DirtCar Series' visit on July 15th-16th. Plans are still tentative, but the #12 team plans on unloading for the first time in the Hoosier state tomorrow night at the tiny Kokomo Speedway before venturing to the fast and furious Hartford (MI) Speedway Park and then making a swing into Illinois.
