The much anticipated return of the UMP Summer Nationals at LaSalle Speedway was canceled due to inclement weather at 12:30 CST. The aftermath of Hurricane Dennis is still striking as it made it's way into the drought stricken region ending any hopes of the Summer Nationals topping the venue.
The July 12th cancellation is the first event washed out at the Illinois Valley track for the 2005 season. No rain date will be scheduled.
Racing will resume on Saturday, July 16th with a 75 lap Limited Late Model Special along with the Street Stocks and Midwestern Sportsman classes. The Super Late Models will return for action on July 23rd.
