(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing is preparing for a busy weekend that kicks off this Thursday night with a $2,000 to win UMP Challenge of Champions event at the Spoon River (IL) Speedway. The next three nights will bring the ‘UMP Tri-Track Challenge,’ which is three $10,000 to win shows at three different venues. If any driver can win two of the three shows, they are also in line for a $10,000 bonus.

Friday night’s portion of the ‘Tri-Track Challenge’ will take place at the Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL. On Saturday, Dennis will travel to Pevely, MO and the I-55 Speedway for round two of the Challenge. The finale will take place at the Vermillion County Speedway in Danville, IL. You can learn more about these events by logging onto www.umpracing.com.

Dennis is coming off a disappointing ‘Show-Me 100’ weekend, in which the Petroff Towing / B&K Sportswear & Vinyl Graphics #28 Rayburn / Hedrick Monte Carlo missed the starting field. He timed in 53rd fastest in qualifying and then finished seventh in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main. Only the top three finishers in the heats and the top two finishers out of each of the B-Mains made the $38,000 to win feature event at the West Plains (MO) Motor Speedway.

Dennis was slated to be in competition on Sunday and Monday after West Plains, but those two events were postponed due to inclement weather. At the Tri-State (IN) Speedway on Sunday, Dennis timed in fourth fastest before the rains came washed out the event. Dennis timed in sixth and ran fourth in the dash at the Macon (IL) Speedway on Monday before Mother Nature stepped in forced the postponement of the rest of the show.
