They say "you can never go home." They say "never forget your roots."
Dennis 'Rambo' Franklin goes home and back to his roots this weekend at
Cherokee Super Speedway as he will squeeze into a Larry Teal prepared
'super stock four' mini stock race car and go after the $5,000 winners share
of a monster purser this weekend at the World Crown Four Cylinder Nationals
at the big half mile at Gaffney S.C.

"I 'm looking forward to it. We had a great year in the super late model
winning the Southern All Stars East title and won a lot of races in the
crate late model. I have an open date in my schedule this weekend and it's
not as much pressure as the late model, but the competition will be just as
tough."

The big guy they call 'Rambo' cut his teeth working and then his first
racing experience came behind the wheel of the super fast mini stocks. He
will definitely have his hands full Friday through Sunday at Cherokee as
drivers from all over, many track champions among them, descend upon
Cherokee for the last race under the current configuration as the track
owners will shorten, widen and bank up the 0.525 mile track.

Over 50 drivers practiced Sunday in preparation for the season ending blow
out.
