DICK BARTON, RICK ECKERT HEADLINE DIRT NATION

Saluda, VA --- DIRT NATION presented by Switchme.net, co-sponsored by Virginia Motor Speedway and Dirt America Online, and one of the fastest growing and most popular weekly racing radio programs broadcast over the world wide web, will host a special show this Monday evening April 26 featuring two of the nation’s most successful dirt Late Model drivers, Dick Barton and Rick Eckert. DIRT NATION presented by Switchme.net is hosted each week by the Rat Pack, featuring Dave Seay, Brian Tidball and Doc Lehman and airs every Monday evening from 8:00 – 10:00 PM EST and can be accessed over the internet at: www.racetalklive.com

Dick Barton of Asheville, NY is one of the northeast’s biggest winners with 31 years of dirt track racing experience. During the past 19 years racing a ‘super’ Late Model Barton has amassed an incredible 194 feature wins and 41 point championships. Barton is also an inductee in the Chautauqua County Sports Hall of Fame and currently drives the Ron Nielson-owned GRT Race Cars/Malcuit Racing Engines #28b sponsored by The Bolt Place, Raceway 7, Shawbucks Nite Club, Lamb Heating & Cooling and Quik Lube. Barton is currently on his “Back In Black 2004” tour.

Rick Eckert of York, PA is one of the country’s more successful touring professionals and is currently a member of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Dirty Dozen’ and just came off his first career WoO LMS feature victory at Hagerstown Speedway April 24 for their Stanley Schetrompf Memorial. Eckert is a former THE DREAM winner and a two-time UDTRA champion. Eckert drives the Raye Vest owned Rocket Chassis/Cornett Racing Engines #24 sponsored by Raye Vest Excavating, J&J Steel, Rocket Chassis, Eckert Trucking, Arizona Sport Shirts and Cornett Thunder.

Also appearing on Dirt Nation presented by Switchme.net will be Scott Strode, a member of the new three-person promotional team that has assumed the promotional duties at Tyler County Speedway in Middleborne, WV.
