Sunday Racing Results for the Northwest Clay Challenge

Attn: Scott in Sports Yakima Herald
As the checkered flag drop TJ Milton’s director of racing operations for Central Washington State Fair Raceways phone ran with a Mossuri fan checking on the results of Ed Dixon. As fate had it ED Dixon of Washington MO. won the first annual running of the Northwest Clay Challenge winning $10,000.00 in cash.
Dixon told Greg Walters in the coach during payoff tonight “you had me, if that rear end did not break I could have never caught you”. “All the national racing press and the ESPN scouts could say was “best race of the year”” TJ Milton. Greg Walters said “the track was three wide in places and definitely two wide every where”. Ed Dixon” I know, I found myself in the middle a few times”. With the popularity of the Extreme dirt series and dedication by Doug Walter’s and all the Pacific Coast Dirt Late Model officials Yakima is positioned to become a destination for national dirt late model racing in the near future. John Duty also won the season points battle after Craig Hanson suffered a devastating tangle up. Over 60 Late models from around the country tried to qualify for the big money feature event of 28 cars.
Ed Dixon won his 553rd feature win at Central Washington State Fair Raceway building on his already national record streak of short track wins
