Dodge Stealth Small Block conversion

I picked up a '91 Dodge Stealth fairly cheap, with a blown motor. I would like to know if it would be possible to convert to a 318 or 360 Mopar. Any thoughts?

Doug, I would think that would require some kinda frame work. Not sure what they have under them. Being a front wheel drive I would assume none.

I used to have an old issue of Hot Rod where they converted a Lumina to a rear wheel drive V8. Maybe the same theory would apply. I would think the fabrication and engineering problems would be similar. It might show you what kind of job you would be up against.

Interesting theory though,

Doug...youll definately have to either build a frame..or...fab frame rails. And.youll have to go the rear wheel drive deal...no v8 chrysler motor will bolt to a chrysler fwd trans(well..i say that..but..im sure..people have..but..itll cost you). Not to mention..will the trans hold up. Then youll have to mount a rear end..somehow..run a driveshaft(youll have to cut the interior to make a hump for the new shaft)

Doug should be qualified. After all he went to the Brute Force and Ignorance School of Fabrication. Still sounds like an interesting winter project.

Ok..well..Doug..Al says..you the man to do it..mnm says..he wants to help you mount it..and mav says...its all kinky..lol. Let me know..if you want to do this..ill ask around about parts available.
