In order to keep everyone informed, I am working with the generous promoter of Baypark to keep information coming in. The "news" section on allgaiermotorsports.com will house the "Down Under Diary". As I promised, I would post info here as soon as I receive it. Enjoy!

DOWN UNDER DIARY_

Concord, NC (January 25, 2004) -- Justin Allgaier of Riverton, IL, and 2002 U.M.P. Late Model Champion Terry English completed their first race against the Kiwis last night. The large time difference and internet connections have made information relay rather difficult but Baypark promoter Willie Kay has been kind enough to send information snippets for a "Down Under Diary" for family, friends and fans. Please stay tuned as more information will be added as it is relayed in the coming days.

1/26 (NZ) -- Both Terry and Justin laid eyes on a "saloon car" for the first time only one day after making their thirteen hour trip from L.A. to New Zealand. Terry ran second and Justin ran fourth in their first feature event in the southern hemisphere. They have been able to spend more time with their cars and fellow drivers so Willie expects to see "great things from both" in the next round. Today (Monday in NZ) is a national holiday so both drivers were reportedly enjoying the summer by jetskiing in the Bay of Plenty with fellow competitors. And the message goes on to state, "The guys are adapting to the culture change, driving on the other side of the road, and the accents and different use of words among the many things that are different for them here. They have been treated like the celebrities they are, and seem to be enjoying the experience and the hospitality." I, for one, am very grateful for Baypark's invitation to these two great guys and the warm welcome that the people of New Zealand have received them with. Good luck to both in the next event and stay tuned for more updates in the "Down Under Diary".
