LAS VEGAS – The largest dirt racing event in the Western United States will take place at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Nov. 16-18 with 160 IMCA Modifieds and 70 Dirt Late Models expected to attend.
The IMCA Modified format will expand to a three-day event along side the Dirt Late Models that will compete Friday and Saturday.
"Our entry list is a virtual who's who of short track stars and could be the best field of IMCA Modified and Dirt Late Model teams ever assembled for an event in this region," explained Chris Blair, LVMS’ senior director of drag strip and dirt track operations. "Last year's show featured incredible side-by-side racing and lots of passing thanks to a great qualifying program. This isn't your typical stock car race; this event was designed to entertain the fans."
Drivers from Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming and Canada will attempt to qualify for the event.
Saturday’s A-Features will consist of 40 laps with $5,000 on the line for each champion.
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. Adult general admission is $20, $10 for senior citizens, military personnel with ID and $5 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free.
Three-day general admission prices are $35 for adults, $20 for senior citizens, military personnel and $10 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free.
