DuQuion indoors

I just got home from the USAC Ford Focus race down in DuQuoin, and WOW!!! what an awsome race. Brad Loyet put on probably the best race I have ever seen,on dirt or pavement. I was a little dissapointed to see Darland have to drop out of the A-Main after winning his heat race. And the mini sprints put on a pretty good show too. Tyler Robbins was one of many come from the back to the front drivers in the A-Main as well as the young man in the red #91. If you didnt make it out,you really did miss out on one heck of a day of racing.

The improvements made to the track between last month and this month made a world of difference. I enjoyed the multis and midgets last month but today's races were incredible. It was great to see multiple grooves. And the 3 wide race coming off of turn 4 for the checkers in the midget Feature was worth the price of admission alone.

Im with ya on that one. I missed out last month but Im looking forward to the WINGED and NON-WINGED show in March.Im sure it will be just as bad ***** as todays show was.

What's sad is that Bayer only got $115 for finishing 5th in the A-main after working his way up thru most of the "alphabet soup" of semis, starting in a C-main. That might not even cover his price of gas getting back to Broken Arrow, OK. It just amazes me that they can get 8 heats and 6 semis of micros for just $500 to win.

He won the thing last month, Brandon. Who knows where he is headed next? I highly doubt he drove from Oklahoma to Duquoin just for that show, he probably has other business to attend to in the area, maybe some other indoor races on the trip. He builds micros for a living, so I doubt that his racing is just for fun. He is out there promoting his business, too.

What an awesome show. I needed that. Got the dirt flowing through the blood again....... And how about that number 91 car. AWESOME!!!! Not only did he have that car hooked up. He was also a smart driver. Very impressive. 5 more laps without any cautions woulda been interesting. I agree it was a GREAT show and a nice facility.
