That was one heck of a way to start my season off!!!!!!!!!!That might be one of the better races we see all year. Lets hope not!!!!!!!See you all at Pevely tommorow I cant wait!!!Way to go Korte and crew!!!Go #00:D
 
Ill be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Voigt have a strong run early in the feture before hitting the wall.. He was fighting Korte for fight and I think Korte was going around him when he hit the wall... Hope he is ok........... Also there was a modified car that fliped in the feature on the last lap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Could have been anyone's race! Awesome runs by everyone! Who's the Brian Collin's guy? Don't remember him being quite that strong in the past. And if it hadn't been for hitting the wall I think Mark Voigt might have walked out of there tonight with a win! If this is a sign of things to come in the 2004 season I can't wait to see what's in the future! Fantastic way to start my racing season! And to top it all off, I got to sit with Jimmy D. and RealRacingFan!!!!! Thanks for keeping me company guys!
 
Oh yeah! In reference to the modified flipping on the last lap! He finished the race by crossing the finish line upside down then rolling over onto the wheels! Is that cool or what?????

WOWEEE what a race last night!

I figured Dixon would be thrilling coming up through traffic,
but I had my eyes busy watching the 4 way battle for the lead.
How many lead changes were there? I lost count for sure.

Mark Voigt...Stellar night, bad fast, would of won.
Brian Collins...Career night, bad fast, lead some, could have won.
Ed Dixon...Rare off pace qualifying lap, awesome drive through field, could have won.
Mark Faust...bad fast as usual, could easily have been the guy picking up the trophy.
Randy Korte...On his game all night, fought tooth and nail for 25 laps to win the damn thing.

Thank you drivers, crews and Godfrey Speedway for a most memorable night of racing in all classes.
 
Godfrey was awesome last night, the late model feature was the best I've seen in a long time, GREAT racing, can't wait to see some more like it.
 
Great Racing

You are all correct that was a GREAT night of racing I believe that was the best late model race I have ever watched. Also think Bobby Martintoni did a Great job Starting 6th in the feature and coming up to 2nd place. With a little racing luck, like a yellow flag he and Brian could have had a great race to the flag. Still it was good racing . Congratulations to Korte and Dively,Godfrey has had a great start to the year keep it up!
 
Yes..that was some awesome racing indeed. Did anyone see Dick Taylor and Chad Zobrist duel it out in their heat race? Wow..that was some awesome racing too. Track was good and tacky..program went well. Dont think qualifying modifieds and late models is a fan favortie..kinda takes lotta time to get done. Tow truck crews were fast.concession are much better..brought pepsi back! Felt sorry for my buddy Terry Michael Bolin..when i saw him jump that cushion..on the last corner..last lap t try to get fourth..and ran out of room..i think the whole stands knew it was going to be bad. Hope he can get the car all back together and good luck next week. And Bobby Martintoni..wow!!!! What an awesome job!
