Millsey reporting for Trashdog on location!!!

Highlights: Billy "The Kid" Smith won his heat race with Brent Thompson second. (Mods)

Rusty Griffaw won his heat race.

Ed Dixon didn't hotlap because "Chuck put the rear axles in backwards."
He started in back of heat, got tangled up with an accident and ended up with a flat tire. He'll start on the back of the feature.

Steve Maisel came down and spun out in the heat... He also forgot to race back to the yellow. He'll start in the back in the feature.

Brent Kreke spun out in his heat, but came back to finish third....

Dallas Bennett has a new motor!!

Alright crowd in the grandstands, big crowd in the pits with lots of cars.

Mike Meyer finished fifth in the Pure Street class heat race even though he was driving HIS MINI STOCK!! Good going Mike.

John Bohn is there but Trashdog said he didn't even see him run hotlaps.

Right now the Trashdog is sitting in his van in the infield warming his tooties.... "Burr," said the Dog. "I couldn't feel my toes."

It's 10:38 p.m. and they are just now getting ready for the features. More to come later....

UPDATE: I understand Pete Koenig is driving Chris Boyd's modified. It's his first race back since coming home from Iraq!! WELCOME HOME PETE!!!
 
Maisel finished third!!

Ed Dixon was the fastest thing on the track and there was no burm. It was 1:15 when the late model feature was completed. Love the track but they need to move the show much faster.
 
I, myself do not mind if it is a late night. Thats why I like the idea of SFCR having 5 classes this year. I am going to I55 next week, but presently making plans to go to POPLAR BLUFF on April 2nd. Have seen the outlaws, they do an excellent job, do not want to pay $32.00 to see them again. My son & myself didn't do much all winter [as far as recreation],looking foward to going.

GREAT JOB! ESPECIALLY FIRST NIGHT RACING THE NEWLY CONVERTED CAR!

I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO DO AWAY WITH THAT RACING BACK TO THE CAUTION? :rolleyes:
 
No, they are still doing it. It doesnt save any time and its very dangerous.

Maisel got better with every lap. He should be very good as the year wears on. Rusty is just plain tough. His car worked high or low. Great pass for the win.

STEVE SAID WHEN THE GUY GOT INTO THE RIGHT FRONT AND CAUSED HIM TO SPIN. WHEN IT DID IT KILLED THE MOTOR. HE DIDN'T FORGET TO RACE BACK.
