Roush Racing announced Tuesday today rookie standout Carl Edwards will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to compete for the championship in 2004 with full-time sponsorship from Superchips.
With one race to go in his rookie season, Edwards has already won three races, one pole and earned 13 top-five finishes. He is eighth in series points, and will also officially win the Raybestos rookie-of-the-year title this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Superchips became the primary sponsor of Edwards' truck in late August.
"I can't wait to run for the championship next year," Edwards said. "I've learned so much this season that will make us a better team in 2004.
"We are so excited to have Superchips on board for next year. They make an incredible product that everyone in the garage is talking about. I just wish we could use one in our No. 99 Superchips Ford F-150."
