ROSSBURG, OH (June 1) -- Eldora Speedway officials announced today that there are no more tickets available for the Wednesday night, June 8, Nextel Prelude to the Dream.

When tickets for the unique event, featuring several NASCAR Nextel Cup drivers, including track owner Tony Stewart, went on sale May 2, a pre-determined allotment of tickets was prepared. That allocation has since been fulfilled and the track management now prepares for a capacity crowd.

Eldora promoter Larry Kemp explains, “we have been overwhelmed with the enthusiastic response and are looking forward to an action-packed evening with plenty for the fans to enjoy. With the inclusion of the Nextel Cup drivers, and an invasion of the Fastrak Champions Series, we have attempted to create an event with a comfortable, family-friendly setting for the fans, with many initiatives to enhance the experience”.

The Nextel Prelude was conceived as a mid-week promotional lead into the annual Dirt Late Model Dream that same week (June 10 & 11), an event that boasts of a hefty paycheck of $100,000 awaiting the 100-lap feature winner. Tickets for that event remain available through the track box office at (937) 338-3815.

For those unable to make it to the Nextel Prelude to the Dream, Stewart has announced that in August he will be bringing fellow Nextel Cup drivers Kasey Kahne and Dave Blaney to join him against the National Racing Alliance (NRA) Sprint Invaders in another mid-week special. That event, sponsored by Old Spice, will be contested August 17, with ticket sale information to be announced within the month.
