Fulton, MS (5/20/09) – Eric Cooley picked up another win over the weekend behind the wheel of his #33c Cooley Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Crate Late Model.
Cooley Motorsports was in action on Friday night at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi in the Crate Late Model division. With 14 cars on hand, Eric set fast time in qualifications. In his heat race, he started 3rd, and made the winning pass exiting turn four on the final lap to take the win and earn the pole for the feature. In the main event, he led all 20 laps to take the feature win! The triumph marked his third of the 2009 campaign.
On Saturday night, he was rained out at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.
This weekend, Cooley Motorsports is preparing for an ultra-busy weekend that will see the team in action in a trio of events in the state of Alabama. The Memorial Day weekend will get underway on Friday, May 22nd with a 40 lap, $2,000 to win event at Penton Raceway in Penton, Alabama. On Saturday, May 23rd, the action will shift to Avenger Speedway in Greenville, Alabama for a $2,500 to win event. The busy weekend will wrap up on Sunday, May 24th at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama with a $2,000 to win, 40 lap event. All of the races will be sanctioned by the NeSmith Crate Late Model Series. Eric is currently second in the series’ standings behind David Gentry.
