Thirty two late models took time trials, with the current track record holder Mark Anderson turning in fast time, just missing his own track record. Ryan Dauber outran Roger Long and Justin Allgaier for the dash win. Heat races went to Jay Sparks, Flip Shickel, and Bret Sievert. Ted Loomis won the semi over Kyle Logue. Feature time would present Dauber on the pole with Allgaier on the outside. After a couple of aborted starts, several flat tires and a jumbled up lineup, Dauber took off from the start with outside front row sitter Eric Smith in tow. Russ Scheffler and Roger Long all challenged Smith for the second spot. Finally, on lap 19, Long took the lead from Dauber with Mark Anderson making it three wide for the lead at times. Dauber worked his way back into second by the end, with Anderson, Smith and Jason Fegers rounding out the top five. Russ Scheffler was sixth and Allgaier had worked his way from the tail of the pack up to seventh. Richie Hedrick, Joe Harlan and Don Hammer rounded out the top ten.

Leff Leka continued his dominance of the modified features, selfishly taking his fourth win in the fourth race of the year.
The sportsman feature was a real barn-burner as Billy Nail won his first feature over Darrell Dick, Rod Sandage, Jay Smithson and Loren Haberkorn.
