Thirty six late models lined up for time trials Friday night, with fast time going to Matt Taylor at 12.860 seconds. Heat races went to Steve Hillard over Matt Taylor, Joe Ross Jr over Wes Steidinger, Tony Izzo Jr over Mike Mullvain and Jr Shickel over Ryan Unzicker. The semi features went to Ryan Dauber over Rod Sandage and to Jason Feger over Darren Friedman. The feature turned out to be a wild and wooly event with pole sitter Steve Hillard taking the first turn at leading, but outside front row starter Joe Ross Jr would have nothing to do with that, taking the lead on the second lap. Ross Jr would lead up to lap 20, when Hillard took command, but the duo raced most of that time side by side with Matt Taylor trying to stick his nose in front. Hillard finally took command for the final five laps and was followed by Taylor, and Wes Steidinger with Ross slipping to fourth. Fifth went to the charging Richie Hedrick, who had started 16th with Izzo Jr and Jr Shickel right on their tails.
