With double features on hand for late models and sportsman classes due to rain outs last week, fans were treated to several surprises. First of all was the fact that the regular price at the front gate stayed at $10. The next surprise was the huge car turnout, with 32 late models. The promoters earlier in the week also put up an extra $500 to the late model drivers if the same driver won both features, and $200 to the sportsman to win both features. The fans were treated to heat races with 3 and 4 wide racing being common. Fast time for late models went to Dennis Erb Jr with Jeff Leka the fastest of the 40 modifieds. Late model heats went to Erb Jr over Joe Harlan, Jason Feger over Kyle Logue, Brian Shirley over Roger Long and Richie Hedrick over Chris Dick. The semi went to Matt Taylor over Darren Friedman. The make up feature saw the first repeat winner of the year, with Dennis Erb Jr winning a race long battle over Brian Shirley. The duo swapped the lead several times, and ran side by side many laps. Kevin Weaver finished third with Eric Smith and Richie Hedrick rounding out the top five.
unofficial finish:

28 Dennis Erb, Jr
3s Brian Shirley
B12 Kevin Weaver
9 Eric Smith
0 Richie Hedrick
5s Steve Sheppard, Jr
36 Roger Long

25 Jason Feger

The regular feature saw Erb and Jason Feger start on the front row. Erb jumped out to a sizable lead at the start, but by lap 5, Brian Shirley had run him down and as he put pressure on him for the lead, Erb had the misfortune of having his right front tire blow on him, and he retired for the evening. Shirley led the rest of the distance becoming the second repeat winner of the season, with Hedrick chasing him down at the end. Jason Feger rebounded for a third place finish with Sheppard and Harlan filling out the top five.

The sportsman feature make up race was again a real treat for the fans, as two of the early top runners, Billy Nail and Jeff Chandler had run-ins with the cement wall in turn four. Then Nick Macklin spun himself while leading on lap 4. This opened the door for Greg Timmons, Jeb Friedman BJ Richardson who started in the fifth row, to put on a great show. Macklin rallied from the rear after his spin to put on a driving exhibition to finish fourth. Sportsman heats went to Terry Worth, Gary Barnes, Dan Holt. The regular show feature went to Billy Nail, who used the top groove coming from third at the white flag, to pass the top two runners between turn four and the finish line, with the surprised Terry Worth finishing second.

The street stocks saw som heavy action with Jim Quinn and Jimmy Smith win their heats. Jimmy Smith then went on to capture his first career feature win in a four way battle to the checkers over Chris Tackett, Terry Miller and Jim Quinn.

The modifieds also put o a great show, with fast timer Jeff Leka winning his heat, second fast timeer Derrick Neville winning his heat, third fast timer Denny Schwartz winning his heat, and fourth fastest Mackay Wenger winning his heat. Kyle Byerline was not injured in the first heat when he got out of shape coming off turn four and flipped three and a half times directly in front of the grandstand. The feature saw a great battle, with Denny Schwartz pulling out the win over Gary Cook, Jeff Leka and Marty Hiser.
