Eric Smith started out the night with fast time of the thirty late models on hand. The dash was won by Don Hammer over Brian Shirley. Heats went to Chris Dick over Bruce White, Mike Glynn over Matt Beadles, and Jr Shickel over Matt Taylor. The semi feature went to Mike Glasscock over Darin Friedman. Feature time had a sure-bet with Roger Long on the outside front row. But it was not meant to be, as polesitter Eric Smith charged into the lead at the drop of the green and was never headed. There was a great race going on behind him as Don Hammer, Brian Shirley and Roger Long put on a great show for the fans for 25 laps of non stop green flag racing. At the end, it was Smith, Shirley, Long, Matt Taylor, and Hammer rounding out the to five.
