Friday the 13th brought the Northern All Stars Late Model Series to town, and the racing was terrific. On a cool August night with fans in flannel and thermals, Brian Shirley won the $2000 first place prize, ending the track's regular season the same way he started it....with checkered flag in hand.

Thirty Six late models came to town, with Jason Fegers turning in the fastest time. Heat wins went to Kevin Weaver over Brian Shirley, Joe Ross Jr over Don Hammer, Eric Smith over Kyle Logue and Dennis Erb Jr over Frank Shickel Jr. Semi features went to Rohn Moon and Tim O'Donnell. Erb and Weaver started on the front row of the 30 lap feature.

Erb led the first 13 laps, got caught up in traffic, and Brian Shirley got around him and survived a couple of cautions for the win. It was not without excitement, as the duo swapped the lead several times in traffic over the last few laps.

final rundown:

3s Brian Shirley, 28 Dennis Erb Jr, B12 Kevin Weaver, 25 Jason Fegers, 4 Mike Mullvain, wf0 Kyle Logue, 9 Eric Smith, 56 Rohn Moon, 30 Mike Glasscock, S10 Jr. Shickel, 64 Ryan Dauber, 1 Denny Chamberlain, 22 Chris Dick, 45 Don Hammer, 1w Donnie Walden (29 laps), 15, Joe Ross Jr, T33 Tim O'Donnell

The sportsman feature went to Jay Smithson over Darrell Dick and Nick Macklin.
