Five World of Outlaws Champions to Compete in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30’s at Lerner

Sarver, PA-July 15, 2010- An elite group of seven drivers have won a World of Outlaws championship over the last 32 years led by Steve Kinser's 20 titles, while Donny Schatz has won four, Sammy Swindell three, Mark Kinser two, with Dave Blaney, Bobby Davis Jr. and Danny Lasoski each claiming a single title. Five of these legendary drivers will be in action on Tuesday, July 20 at Lernerville Speedway in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30's, as S. Kinser, Swindell, Schatz, Lasoski and Blaney will take to the always racy high-banked four-tenths mile for two feature in one night.

The Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup will again showcase Twin 30-lap feature events this season with the lead lap finishers from the opener being inverted for the finale. A top prize of $15,000 will await the winner of each segment, with it possible for a single driver to claim $30,000 if they were to sweep both ends of the double dip The Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville is the richest single-day event on the World of Outlaws calendar. Steve Kinser, Schatz, Swindell and Lasoski have each won the Silver Cup.

Swindell leads the drivers that will be competing on July 20 with three wins in the Silver Cup, with the most recent coming in 2004. He won his the inaugural Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup in 1992 and picked up his second win in the event in 2000.

Steve Kinser won his first Silver Cup in 1994 and won the event for the second time with a dominating performance in 2008. The 20-time series champion has 17 wins with the World of Outlaws at Lernerville Speedway, along with over 50 career Top-10 finishes.

Donny Schatz won the Silver Cup for the first time in 2006, the same season he claimed his first World of Outlaws title and followed that up in 2007 with another win in the event and another title. He has three career wins at Lernerville and has finished in the Top-10 in eight straight starts at the track.

Danny Lasoski, the 2001 World of Outlaws champion, won the Silver Cup for the first time last year, making history as he became the first driver to win the event under the Twin-30 format. He won the first segment and lined up 19th in the finale, charging all the way to seventh to earn the overall title for the event over Jason Sides.

Dave Blaney, the 1995 World of Outlaws champion, will be competing in the Silver Cup for the first time since 1997. He has won three times with the World of Outlaws at Lernerville and has 70 career A-Feature wins with the series, which is seventh-best all-time.

General admission tickets are $29, with reserved tickets $35. Children ages 10-under will be admitted free of charge to the general admission section. Advance reserved tickets include a FREE pit pass upgrade.
