FNBC & Frost Family Night Proves to be Great Event at West Plains!

West Plains, MO (Sept. 15) The Annual FNBC Race Night was combined with the Frost Family festivities that were postponed last weekend due to rain. The disappointment from last weekends rainout was overshadowed by the excitement and thrill packed event of this weekend. Between the annual T-Shirt Toss presented by FNBC and the wide array of gifts and prizes presented by the Frosts, the fans throughly enjoyed the off track festivities as well as the high powered entertainment on track.
Bill Adams of West Plains, won the IMCA Modified feature and through the FNBC T-Shirt Toss Wendy Smith of Highland, AR, was the lucky receipent of Adam's autographed t-shirt and the $200 bonus compliments of FNBC. Taking second was Brandon Ball of West Plains, followed by Carmon Vincent of Moody, MO, and Scott Crigler of Alton, MO, with Chris Piper of West Plains, rounding out the top five.
Balance of the Modified field included Bobby Skinner of Moody, Billy Romans of West Plains, Fred Scarbrough of Koshkonong, MO, Matt Barry of West Plains, Joey Smith of Pomona, MO, Brian Judd of Caulfield, MO, Denny Dennison, Jason Brigman, and Jerry Croney, all of West Plains, Carl Murphy and Lonnie Judd, both of Caulfield, Kirk Hutchings of West Plains, Anthony Carnal of Cabool, MO, Gary C. Green of Ava, MO, Calvin Tribble of West Plains, Billy Sullinger of Pocahontas, AR, and George Charles of Doniphan, MO.
Winner of the Super Stock feature was Stan Ellison of West Plains, taking second and giving him a good run was Jeff North of Rogersville, MO. Coming in third was Todd Kelly of Birch Tree, followed by Dexter Frost of West Plains, Chris Junkersfeld of Pocahontas, AR, Bill Dixon of Thayer, MO, Michael Cox of Batesville, AR, Jim Hunt of Corning, AR, Bobby Bryant of West Plains and Richard Smith of Williford, AR.
Heath Davenport of Yellville, AR, won the Hobby Stock feature this week. Taking second was Dexter Frost of West Plains, followed by Chuck Russell and Randy Dennison, both of West Plains, Brock Frost of Birch Tree, Tyler Chainey of Springfield, MO, Dean Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR, Shane Hitt of Birch Tree, Jacob Black of Van Buren, MO, Scott Todd of Hardy, AR, Don Wilson of Willow Springs, Robert Williams of Van Buren and Korey Whitelock of Alton, MO.
Winner of the Cruiser feature was Bobby Bryant followed by John Stiner and Clifford Collins, II, all of West Plains, Chris Skinner of Moody, MO, Tyler Newcom of Hardy, Rhonda Gunter, Mark Doiron and Clifford Collins, all of West Plains, Jesse Johnson of Viola, AR, Bill Harden of West Plains and Murrill Pace of Gainesville, MO.
Young Austin White of Willow Springs, took the Youth Hobby Stock feature honors this week. Coming in second was Ben Piper of West Plains, followed by Williams Piper of Birch Tree, Kyle Duke of West Plains, Kevin May of Pomona and Clayton Gunter of West Plains.
Next weekend will the the first annual Glenn's Topless Modified event, the IMCA Modified drivers will have the option of running without the tops on their cars and $200 extra money goes to the winners if he is running without a top. This will be the first time this type of event has been run in this area.
All classes, including IMCA Modified, will be running regular points races. Gates will open at 5 p.m., hotlaps at 6:30 p.m., with racing at 7 p.m. Admission will be $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and kids 7-11 $2.
