It was Burge Irrigation Night at the Malden Speedway Friday night. Mike Francis held off hard charging Greg King to win the $1000 to win Modified race. Francis started the race from the 11th starting position while King opened on the pole, their paths would come together at the end of the race.
Also advancing to victory lane were Joey Mack in Late Models Doug Moore won in Hobby Stocks, Paul Reeder won his third Street Stock feature. Jim Eubanks won the E-Mods, Kelley & Kelley won in Cruisers and John Leahy won in the touring Dwarf Car division.

The Modified feature opened with pole sitter, King jumping to the lead only to suffer a flat tire and spinning out in the first turn. Returning to the pits to change the tire cost King the pole and sent him to the rear of the field. Once the race restarted Dicky Jackson grabbed the lead and held it until the sixth lap. At that point Jackson was run down and passed in traffic by Troy Fowler. Last week's winner, Jeremy Russell, took second from Jackson on lap 12. A lap later Russell took the lead from Fowler. Russell and Fowler would swap the lead back and forth one more time before a lap 20 caution reset the field with Russell at the point. Francis had moved to second by lap 21 and took the lead when Russell slid high in turn four and fell to seventh place. King took over second place on lap 23 and set his sites on Francis. King closed to Francis's rear bumper but did not have enough time left to try a pass. The win gave Francis a commanding 86-point lead in the season point standings. Fowler held on to take third followed by Chuck McGinty in fourth in his first trip to the Malden Speedway. Jeremy Conner took fifth. Heat winners were Brad Buck, Jackson, and King. The Dash for Cash was won by King.

Joey Mack of Benton won his second Late Model feature of the year at the Malden Speedway Friday night. Mack completed the triple winning his heat race, the Dash for Cash, and the feature. In the feature race, Mack pulled away to an early lead but was chased down and passed by Jeff Floyd on lap seven. Two laps later, Floyd drifted high in turn four and surrendered the lead back to Mack. The leaders came into lapped traffic on lap 12 and Mack extended his lead to two seconds over Floyd. A lap 18 caution brought about a two-lap dash for the finish with Mack pulling away and leaving the battle for second to Floyd and Todd Hall. Floyd and Hall swapped the second position the final two laps of the race with Floyd taking the spot. Jeff Moss took fourth, followed by Scott Bell. Heat winners were Floyd and Mack.

Paul Reeder moved up from the ninth starting position to win his third Street Stock feature of the year. The race opened with Coot Wilson and Aaron Darby in quite a battle for the lead with Scott Wicker and Michael Lack right behind. Wicker would suffer mechanical problems late in the race, ending his streak of second place finishes. Darby took the lead from Wilson on lap ten with Reeder taking over second on lap 12. Reeder closed in on Darby and as the leaders were in heavy traffic, Reeder found a way around the outside of Darby on the back straight. Reeder held on for the win. Darby surrendered second to Mike Massie on the final lap. Wilson took fourth, followed by Allen Boone. Heat winners were Lack, Wilson, and Chris Cannon. Lack won the Dash for Cash and earned the pole position.

Jim Eubanks won the trifecta in E-Mods, taking his heat race, the Dash, and the Feature. Eubanks and Jon Gray opened the race in a side-by-side battle that was halted on the second lap for a scary roll over accident that brought out the red flag. Derek Despain went off turn three and rolled the 5Z car. Safety personnel were quick to the scene and fortunately Despain suffered no major injuries. When the race restarted, Eubanks led the rest of the way, pulling away to a comfortable cushion by the checkered flag.
Gray settled for second. Jeff Jarrell, Todd Gibbs, and Tracy Redden rounded out the top five. Heat winners were Eubanks and Tim Prine.
