Fredeericktown Raceway Cancelled for Friday, April 23

racewidow

I'm just drawn that way..
With the oncoming storms and start times predicted, we feel it necessary to cancel racing for this evening. This will hopefully give drivers time to make other racing plans and keep everyone safe from possible severe weather. We hope to see you all next week (mother nature providing). Take care everyone!

To the lovely gentleman that called my cel phone to spout a line of profanity that would make a sailor blush, I'd like to remind you that in this day and age of caller ID and phone number look up, I will find out who you are and I hope you enjoy your "vacation" from the track. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the track and appreciate that you'd like to race tonight, but honestly, no one deserves to be spoken to like that. Do you kiss your mother or your children with that mouth? I've been called the c word before and it really doesn't phase me, so you're going to have to try harder if you want to rattle me. My lines are open if you'd like to rethink your position and apologize.

Yours truly,
Tracy Ruch
Assistant Manager
Fredericktown Raceway

It's ok. Karma will get that person. I'm hoping for an apology and all will be just fine. Billy, that wasn't angry typing. I was trying to be graceful.

Somebody is a jackazz now isn't he... I for one appreciate the decision was to be made relatively early. Thank you. Jon Reando

Now Billy, you keep that orange paint to yourself. I know they've been calling you "the Colonel", but if you keep it up, I'm gonna have to demote you back down to Leutennant! lolololol :p

All is good, I've had a little conversation with the fellow and I did get my apology - thanks to him for being a man about it, I believe he's feeling a little foolish about now.

Oh, and John - thanks for the compliment. They tried to decide early (took a chance) to let everyone either make other plans or not to start out to the track and then have to turn around and go elsewhere. Sometimes it's a hard decision to make - you could lose either way. They had everyone's saftety in mind and consideration for drivers to think about. I think they did right.
