Fredericktown Thoughts from June 11th....

This was one of those nights where you would have sworn there was a full moon. It was wild from the first heat race to the final checkered flag....

Without a doubt the item that will draw the most attention was the Sportsmen. First of all Chuck Adams triple crowned, so congratulations Chuck. That's two feature wins in a row for him. Nathan Gibson also had a good night with a heat win and a second place finish in the dash and the feature. There were a couple of racers who really had a rough night, but the feature was very entertaining to say the least. Greg Stumbaugh finished third with Paul Belken fourth and Kenny Harris fifth.

Once again the night really belonged to the Modifieds.. Joe Giesler got around Rich Whaley first and then Brent Thompson to sail to a big win. Whaley was second with Thompson third, Kenny Kennedy fourth and Brad Long fifth. Once again there were 23 modifieds. Billy Smith did not have a good night.. First his tow vehicle broke down on the way to the track, then with about five laps to go his car overheated and he DNF....

Pure Streets are coming on like gangbusters. Congrats to Josh DeSpain won won the feature and set off a big time celebration on the front straight.. Cline Myers finished second with Jeremy Greenwalt third, Lenny Terrell fourth and Derek Shipman fifth. There was a little rough driving in this one and I believe I saw at least five black flags shook at various drivers.

Jon Paul Reando was a triple crown winner with the RAMS Mini Stocks and Dom Wadlow captured the checkered flag in the Dwarf feature.

Just a reminder to all that we race Sunday evening at the Fredericktown Raceway with it being a double-points night for all five classes. Gates open at 3 p.m. with racing at 5 p.m.

Congrats to all of tonights winners.....

Congratulations to #59 modified Rich Whaley on your second place finish last night! Hope to see you keep it going tonight at I-55.

I Didn't Get To Make It Last Night, But Heard About The Sportsman. From What I Was Told, The Rough Driving Surfaced Again. I Sure Hope It Was Just One Of Those Nights That Happens Everywhere Every Now And Then, Not A Step Back To What It Used To Be. I Gave Fredericktown A Big Thumbs Up Over The Last Month For The Good Things Going On There. Hope They Knock This Crap In The Head Before It Gets Started!!!!

Congratulations To The Winners.

14 Is Better Than 8. 3 More And They Will Have The 17 They Originally Asked For To Pay The $500 To Win. This Track Is On The Line Of Belleville In Size, So 17-18 To Start A Feature Would Be Plenty.

Thanks Millsey, I Don't Know Exactly What His Plans Are At The Moment. He Has His Hands Full With His Lawn Maintenance Biz This Spring. Ya' Know With The Weather We've Had This Spring, He's Been Behind Just About All The Time. Everytime He Catches Up, We Get A Couple Days Of Heavy Rain That Sets Him Back. Trying To Race Two Nights A Week, Makes It Hard When It Gets Tore Up Good On Friday. We'll See, He Likes A Challenge.

Sure would like to see Steve come and race at I-55 sometime, but I think you mentioned before that his heads aren't allied legal right?
