(SIMSBORO, LOUISIANA) Garrett Durrett, of Simsboro, Louisiana captured his
first victory of the 2006 racing season last Friday night at the
state-of-the-art Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. The driver of
the Garrett Racing / Davison Transport / Stuckey Enterprises #58cent
MasterSbilt / Pro Power Ford Fusion vaulted from the pole position to lead
the first half of the $2,000 to win, 25-lap O’Reilly SUPR Series feature
event. Around the halfway point of the event, Patrik Daniel overtook the
#58cent, but Garrett fought back to retake the lead two laps later. In all,
Garrett led twenty-three of the twenty-five laps to claim the win in the
first night of the ‘Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship!’

The next day brought a $3,000 to win O’Reilly SUPR event to TMS. With
passing at a minimum early in the night, Garrett was forced to use a
provisional just to gain access to the 40-lap feature event on Saturday.
The young Cajun driver, who will be competing for the World of Outlaws Late
Model Series Rookie of the Year title in 2006, put on a show on his way to
the front of the field in the A-Main. Garrett picked off eighteen
competitors to finish a solid third behind winner Rob Litton and runner-up
Ken Schrader.

“It was a great weekend for us at Texas Motor Speedway,” commented the
driver known simply as “G.” “It was good to get our first win of the season
and it couldn’t have happened at a better place than at TMS. That place has
been pretty good to me the past couple of years and I really enjoy racing
there. I just wish we could have started further up front on Saturday
because our car was pretty stout. We just didn’t have enough laps to get by
(Rob) Litton and (Ken) Schrader.”

The Garrett Racing team, with Randall Edwards and Jon David Liles turning
the wrenches, will be in action this Saturday, March 11 at the Champion Park
Speedway in Haughton, Louisiana. The O’Reilly SUPR Series will sanction a
$2,500 to win event at Champion Park this Saturday. For more information on
the 50-lap feature event at Champion Park, point your web browser to

The next World of Outlaws Late Model Series events are scheduled for
Garrett’s home state of Louisiana on March 17-18. The World of Outlaws gang
will invade the Baton Rouge Raceway in Baker on Friday, March 17 for a
$10,000 to win event. The cars and stars of the World of Outlaws Late Model
Series will then travel to the Fast Trax Speedway in Chatham for another
$10,000 to win show the following evening. Both events will be
co-sanctioned with the O’Reilly SUPR Series. For more information on the
