Gateway and St. Louis Post-Dispatch Continue To Grow Newspapers In Education Program

Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway announced today that their partnership
with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in the Newspapers In Education (NIE) Program has
grown to nearly 1000 teachers and 20,000 area students for 2006. The focus on the
program is "Character in the Classroom"and how the sport of racing can teach valuable
life skills to elementary level through high school aged students.

The month of February profiles the different forms of motorsports that run at Gateway
and features interviews with various racers. In the Friday, February 3 edition of the Post-
Dispatch St. Louis native and NASCAR star Kenny Wallace was featured. In the
interview, Wallace talks about growing up in the first family of racing and how it shaped
his life. He talks about the sacrifices and preparation it took for him to be a successful
driver in NASCAR.

This is the second consecutive year Gateway has partnered up with the St. Louis Post-
Dispatch in the NIE program. In 2005, 545 teachers and 12,000 students participated.
