Gateway's King of the Track Bruce Damewood (Macomb/Springfield, IL)won his 2nd Wally of
the year at Gateway in the Pro Bike Class. Damewood, who won his first Wally at the King of
the Track, also takes over the Pro Bike season points lead.

Dusty Katich (Collinsville, IL) also added to his Wally total by winning the Street Bike Class.
Katich, who already had three Wally's, dedicated the win to competitor Jim Ryan who is
currently under the weather.

Four drivers each won their first Wally's: Super Pro Jon Tignor(Hillsboro, MO), Street E.T. Ron
Beach Jr. (Troy, IL), Carl's 4 Wheel Drive and Performance Pro Clay Tyler (Troy, IL), and 1/8

Wallys that he's already earned.

Madison, IL - This Saturday, August 12, the Jeffers Midwest Pro Mod Series will be

David Schorr (Grain Valley, MO), in his spectacular naturally-aspirated '03 Ford Escort

Murphy (Kansas City, MO), Donnie Little (Pleasant Hill, MO), Delon Joseph (Kansas
City, MO), Tim Albright (Columbia, MO), Dan Saitz (St. Louis) and Aaron Hodges

Weekly Tidbits

Madison, IL - Jeff Norton (St. Peters, MO) raced to his first two finals rounds of the
year at Gateway, both on Saturday night during the National Dragster Challenge. Norton
had an opportunity to win Wallys in both Super Pro and the 1/8 Mile Money race.
Norton, who already has two Wally's was disappointed with both final round loses but
happy with his racing on the evening. "I'm just thankful to get that far with the quality of
racers at Gateway," said Norton.

*Jon Tignor (Hillsboro, MO) followed up his 1/8 Mile Money race victory a couple
weeks ago with a win in Super Pro this past Saturday. With the win, Tignor earned his
first Wally and took over the lead in the Super Pro season points standings.

*Clay Tyler (Troy, IL) extended his points lead in the Carl's 4 Wheel Drive and
Performance Pro season standings and won his first Wally with the win on Saturday
night. Tyler dedicated the Wally to his dad and uncle, who were both racers who never
won a Wally. Chad Lidy (Dieterich, IL) moved into second place with his runner-up
finish.

*Ron Beach Jr. (Troy, IL) became the first member of his family to win a Wally on
Saturday night with his win in Street E.T. Beach Jr. races with his dad Ron Beach Sr.
(Sparta, IL). Between the two they have won five out of the eleven Street E.T. races run
this year. Beach Sr. and Beach Jr. are second and third in the Street E.T. points standings
behind James Bouckaert (Arnold, MO).

*The surprise story of the weekend was Jim Bartnick (St. Louis, MO). Bartnick
surprised everyone, mostly himself by winning his first Wally in the 1/8 Mile Money
Race. "I'm as surprised as anyone. I normally lose in the first round, which I also did
tonight, I just bought back in to test my delay box, and I ended up winning a Wally."

*Gateway King of the Track Bruce Damewood (Macomb/Springfield, IL), the luckiest
man at Gateway, won his second Wally of the year at Gateway on Saturday. "I've never
imagined I'd win two Wally's in one year!" said Damewood. Damewood started running
at Gateway at the beginning of the season to get more experience on a quarter mile track.
Since then he's earned four Pro Bike Wins, two Wallys, the King of the Track
designation, and the Pro Bike Points lead. "There's a lot more luck involved in this,
other people packages would have beat mine all night," said Damewood, "But I'm
Lucky!!!" Pro Bike Competitor Bob Pannell (Arnold, MO) said, "All the stars align
when he's around, he's got the best luck."

*Dusty Katich (Collinsville, IL) won his second Street Bike race this year and his fourth career
Wally. Katich was happy to win, but said he would have been just as happy to see Kevin Haney
win. Haney was in his second career finals, he's yet to win a race. Katich dedicated the win to
competitor Jim Ryan who is currently under the weather.

*Sarah Bryant (Litchfield, IL) extended her points lead over Larry King (Troy IL) in the
High School season points standings when she beat him to take her 5th victory of the
season. Bryant and King are followed by Danielle Boccaleoni (Edwardsville, IL) and
Adam Vallow (Edwardsville, IL) in the season standings.

*Zach Kerr (St. Peters, MO) took another step towards winning the Jr. Dragster 10 and
up season championship with his third win of the season. He now holds a 47 point lead
over Tolisa Blumenstein (Breese, IL).

*Kelsey Beimfohr (Edwardsville, IL) won her second event of the season and moved
into third place in the Jr. Dragster 8 and 9 year old season points standings.
