Just wanted to make sure the retraction got the same attention as the accusation.
 
what i would like to know is who is going to pay the fees involved when a check is returned? i had 2 come back and am out $16...
 
Doug,,I think you post here was very POMPUS on your part,I stayed out of the first go round regarding the BOUNCING of checks given to us racers by the people that run Godfrey,but in fact i got 2 BAD checks that did clear the second time arround..That cost me $8 each to re-deposit them,,There is NEVER ANY EXCUSE when a business gives out a check be it for services renderd,buying invintory or in this case prize money and they know they do not have FUNDS TO COVER those checks in hand..You wanted a reaction,,well here you go,,WHAT THE GODFREY MANAGEMENT DID TO THE RACER STINKS (I really wanted to say suc*s but I dont want a fine and loss of points),,IT STUNK WHEN IT HAPPED AND IT STINKS NOW!!!! HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!!
 
I was on the side of givng them the benefit of the doubt. In light of what is now being made public, I would have to think long and hard about it before towing to Godfrey. Lenny is absolutely right, giving out no check at all would be better. At least then you would not be getting charged fees at your bank for returned deposits. I think it stinks too.
 
Pompous? Lenny, let's not take this out of context. When I started this post nearly a month ago, I was relaying the facts as presented (and as admitted to on another post). What has happened since then, I cannot comment on, as I am not privy to that information. To bring this back to the top and comment on it as if I posted it yesterday is less than fair.
 
the first i saw of it was this morning,i assumed wrong that you were implying that this was a OK deal in any way...
 
i agreed with the folks on the first post and i agree with the folks of this post(lenny)..although i havent been to godfrey,infractions like this would make me think about not going,not a good business measure.if the funds arent their dont write checks,simple is simple...
