(Brunswick, Ga. - Jan. 19, 2007) As the 2007 stock car racing season prepares for a new year of challenges and tests of speed, Golden Isles Speedway is ready to host its annual Super Bowl of Racing. The roar of high horsepower stock cars will return to coastal Georgia to officially open the sports short track season

The final two nights of Super Bowl of Racing III offer $10,000 and $12,000 to the winner, respectively, and with that kind of dough on the

Thursday (Feb 1) will see the OSASE back in action with a 30 lap main paying $4,000 to the
winner supported by events in the Hobby Stock division and the first of three straight nights of 30 lap $3,000 to win National Late Model Sportsman (NLMS) tour racing.

The stakes are raised on Friday (Feb 2) and Saturday (Feb 3) as the O'Reilly Southern All-Stars (SAS) hit the track. Friday night's feature presents a $10,000 to win SAS 50 lapper whiles Saturday's 60 lap main event yields $12,000 to the winner and a minimum of $1,000 to each of the starters in the feature, with each night supported by the NLMS $3,000 to win shows.

As the host facility of the first major racing events on the super late model circuits each year, Golden Isles Speedway has progressed to become one of the shining motorsports venues in the south with new upgrades and improvements awaiting the thousands of fans and visitors on their annual pilgrimage to SpeedWeeks. This year is no different as Golden Isles Speedway owner Frankie Lloyd has continued to upgrade the facility during the off-season adding a new bank of grandstands in the turn one area of the track. A new VIP complex now towers over the speedway along with additional new concessions added to the infield. Lloyd recently announced that beginning in 2008, the final night's main event winner's share of the purse for the Super Late Models will be increased by $2,000 per year to any and all competitors who have participated in the previous year's Super Bowl of Racing action.

Golden Isles Speedway is located on US Hwy 82, 12 miles west of I-95. Grandstand gates open at 3:00 pm each day with qualifying beginning at 6:00 pm.
