(Paducah, KY. March 2nd, 2006) Paducah International Raceway owners Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ken Schrader, and Bob Sargent are pleased to announce that PIR has teamed up with Harrah's Metropolis Casino & Hotel.
Harrah's Metropolis Casino and Hotel will be the primary Corporate Sponsor at PIR for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. In addition Harrah's Metropolis Casino & Hotel will be the primary sponsor for Harrah's Metropolis Casino & Hotel's NASCAR Night I at PIR Friday April 14th, 2006.

Obviously, the Harrah's family has been very successful in business and has been involved in auto racing sponsorship and entertainment for a long time. Paducah International Raceway is a track that is deep in tradition. Built back in the 1960's this 3/8tb Mile High Banked Oval has been a mainstay in the Tri-State area. PIR is the home of the "USA WORLD 50." In 1984 the USA WORLD 50 was one of the nation's largest payouts with the winner receiving $10,000. PIR was purchased in November of 2005 by NASCAR stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader, and Midwest Promoter Bob Sargent.
Harrah's Metropolis Casino & Hotel us located at 100 E. Front Street in Metropolis, IlIinois. The Property is located just off oflnterstate-24 on the Ohio River, West of Paducah, Kentucky. Harrah's Metropolis offers more that 1200 slot machines and 25 table games including Roulette, Blackjack, Craps, Video Poker, 3-card and Caribbean Stud Poker, and Let It Ride. The Poker Room is open seven days a week at noon. The entertainment pavilion contains three restaurants, a gift shop and the luxury Diamond Lounge. The new luxury hotel will be opening in July of 2006 with 258 rooms and suites. The events center will open in May of 2006 can accommodate up to 1200 people for meetings and entertainment.
