When a driver has made the feature, but cannot start the feature, does he still get the 18 points and the money for qualifing for the feature,or does he only get the 10 point plus what ever he made in his heat races????? Thank for you help.....

I'm ALMOST possitive that he would only get the 10 points and whatever he made for the heat. If I remember correctly you have to take the green in the feature to get paid for it. Hope this helps.

Must make lap

Yes, you are correct, you must atleast make a lap under green flag conditions to get the points & money of last place...............

somebody help ME understand something as well....

at I55 Saturday Gundaker, Steffans, and Johns(??) were involved in the same wreck during the dash. Neither Gundaker or Steffans were able to continue and pulled off the track. However both were able to get their cars repaired in time for the feature. Why when they came out for the feature did Kevin get to start mid pack and Steffans had to start at the rear?

I didn't understand that at all.

Maybe they just charged on of them with the caution...some tracks do that ..i dont know about pevely, however.

I don't know the answer for sure, but Steffens was late coming out on the track for the feature. They were already making pace laps when he came onto the track. If you are not in staging for an event at I-55, you start at the back.

And a big congrats to all who worked on Durbin's car while the cautions were occurring. Their grit and determination allowed him to start the feature and get the hard charger award!!

Good job guys!!!

Im ALMOST possitive that if the crew comes out on the track and touches your car under a yello flag condition you go straight to the back.

steffens was put at the back because of being late the question is was he really late? The pace laps did not start the cars were stoped on the front stretch and the gate was still open . They always say times up when the gate closes this is just another example of how the rules are different for one driver to the next .

?????

Doesn't Pevely use the 3 minute timer? Do we still use that?? If that is the case and they do then they go by these guidelines. And the rules are if someone touches your car on a yellow that is not an official you go to the back !!!!!!!

Years ago they werre using the timer it went off they kept calling latemodels and calling then the timer went off 3 minutes and of all people Billy Moyer was not out there. They sent him to his trailer and they called the alternate.

Maybe THE TALKER GUY guy can help us out.... And TTG I still do not have any monies  LMAO!!!!

The rule is....the crew cannot touch the car without permission from a track official. If I'm not mistaken, that is word for word in the Allied 2004 rule book. Can someone back me up on this?

Mike (I just happened to be reading it this weekend)

Typically, if your car is touched on the track by your crew, you go to the back. And yes, I-55 still uses the timer, the timer had long went off when Steffans came out, that's why he started in the back. Gundaker and Durbin barely beat the timer, then Durbin had troubles on the start.
