HIGHLAND, IL (March 12, 2014) The 2014 racing season is upon us at Highland Speedway. We are all excited to get back out on the track and we have several announcements regarding the 2014 racing season at Highland Speedway.
Some of these announcements include an improved racing surface, larger pit spaces, improved speaker system in the pit area, big screen TV in grandstands, and an improved sound system in the grandstands.
Race receivers are mandatory in ALL Classes; this includes UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP SportMods, UMP Street Stocks, Outlaw Micros, and UMP KidModz.
Transponders, Highland Speedway is running transponders for the 2014 racing season for all classes if possible. This includes UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP SportMods, UMP Street Stocks, Outlaw Micros, and UMP KidModz. Please see track rules for more information regarding transponders.
UMP Membership is required in all applicable classes. You will not be able to race at Highland Speedway without it. This includes UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP SportMods, UMP Street Stocks, and UMP KidModz.
Highland Speedway is excited to announce some increases to the weekly payout, including Dash payout for the UMP Late Models and UMP Modifieds. Pick up a copy of the new weekly payout at the Pit Shack.
Highland Speedway 2014 Points Fund, each driver that wants to participate in our point fund must purchase a Highland Speedway membership. Membership is $30 per year. You must purchase your membership prior to the second time you race at Highland Speedway in order to participate in our point fund. We are excited to announce that we will continue to have a guaranteed a point fund for the 2014 racing season again of $22,000. This includes UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP SportMods, UMP Street Stocks, and Outlaw Micros.
By popular demand Delaware Double File restarts will be implemented in all classes at Highland Speedway for the 2014 racing season. This includes UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP SportMods, UMP Street Stocks, Outlaw Micros, and UMP KidModz.
One of the improvements you will see completed during the racing season are the addition of private party rooms that are heated and air conditioned. All of us at Highland Speedway are excited about these changes and the upcoming racing season. Be sure to come out and join us for our season opener, the Lucky 40 on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Let’s Go Racing!!!!!
