MOWA Sprint Series races into Highland Speedway on Wednesday, July 23rd for the Madison County Fair as they kick off Illinois Sprint Week!
HIGHLAND, IL (July 18, 2014) Do you love open wheel dirt track racing? If so, this is the night for you! Highland Speedway and the Madison County Fair Association are proud to present the Midwest Open Wheel Association Sprint Series as they kick off Illinois Sprint Week on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Highland Speedway and the Madison County Fair. This exciting night of racing action at Highland Speedway will feature MOWA Sprints, UMP Steve Schmitt Modifieds, and the Daum Insurance Outlaw Micros. This is a points night for Modifieds and Micros! Join us for a great night of open wheel racing action!
Pits Open at 3:00 pm, Grandstands Open at 5:30 pm, Pill Draw by 5:45 pm, Drivers Meeting at 6:00 pm, Hot Laps at 6:30 pm, Racing Starts at 7:00 pm. Box Seats are $20.00; General Grandstand Admission is $15.00, kids 10 and under are free general grandstand admission with a paid adult admission. Pit Passes are $30.00 and pit passes for kids 10 and under are $15.00 (Kids in the pits must have parental supervision at all times.)
We will be taking a Pit Stop weekend Saturday, July 19, 2014 to prepare for busy week of arena events at Highland Speedway for the Madison County Fair! The Madison County Fair is Tuesday, July 22 – Sunday, July 27, 2014. Tuesday July 22nd is the Illinois Tractor Pulling Association Truck and Tractor Pull this action packed event has 7 classes and will feature tractors, trucks, and hot modified tractors. Wednesday, July 23rd MOWA Sprint Series returns to Highland Speedway for an action packed night of open wheel racing also featuring the UMP Steve Schmitt Modifieds, and Daum Insurance Micros. Thursday, July 24th features the always poplar Combine Demolition Derby, come out and watch these massive machines crash and bash to see who will come out on top. Friday, July 25th features the Lawn Mower Demolition Derby and the Car Demolition Derby it is another night of crashing and bashing action to see who will take home the win and the Mad Dog Trophies. Saturday, July 26th brings the UMP Oberbeck Grain Company Hard Charger Night to Highland Speedway featuring UMP Late Models, UMP B-Dry Solutions SportMods, UMP Hamel Coop Street Stocks, and UMP Sammie’s KidModz, with Hard Chargers being awarded in every class. Sunday, July 27th brings T-T Racing to the fair with flat track motorcycles and ATV’s racing it out. Make plans to join us for the week of motorsport madness at the Madison County Fair!
