Highland thoughts...

We had a lot of fun at Highland. It was good to see everyone again, even though we didn't visit much.... For those who noticed a stranger in our pit, the tall skinny kid hanging out with us is my baby cousin from Virginia. He grew up watching NASCAR, and loves coming back to Missouri so we can take him to see real races, lol.:D

Last night was our first visit to Highland and I am impressed. I love the layout of the Grandstands and concessions/souvenir stands/restrooms. Made good use of the space. I was kinda worried at first, about the track surface. Looked like it was gonna be a dust bowl, but it turned out to be okay. I am anxious to see George's video of the feature. I'm not used to running a paperclip shaped track, but it went pretty good for us. For me that track is like Fred-rock, I have to ignore the banking and focus on running around the bottom...something that I rarely do. I like hanging it up on the wall and flying around the top side. Guess I got a little catfish in me too.;)

I was also impressed by the staff at Highland. Very professional and courteous. I hope we were as good for them as they were to us...:)
