hooking up fuel cell for fuel inj. 4 cyl car

I was wondering if someone could help me with the correct procedure for installing a fuel cell with a fuel injected engine. All the fuel cells only have 2 ports and one of those is the vent. I am planning on running at Callway and their rules say you must run a fuel cell. I am guessing this will also require a fuel pump and regulator to mantain the 41 to 47 psi the engine requires.

A return line should go all the way to the bottom of the tank to avoid building up static electricity when the fuel goes through the air in the tank. Drill a hole in the top and install a 1/4 bulkhead fitting and run a piece of hose to the bottom of the tank then just screw the return line on the outside end of the fitting.

Not sure what car you're running, but the regulator on the fuel rail will be OK. Like LM23fan said, run the bulkhead back into the bottom of the tank for the return line. BUT, use a hose that is fuel-proof both on the inside AND the outside of the hose. Regular old fuel line is only good to run fuel INSIDE the hose, and will turn to filter clogging, fuel pump ruining mush if used inside the tank. Greg

The car we are running is a 93 Cavalier 2.2L that Racenut1025 used to run at I-55. Thanks for the tip G Dirt about the fuel hose in the tank. I have found a fuel pump that runs at 45 psi so that should eliminate the need for a regulator and as you stated the regulator on the fuel rail will be ok.
