Hoosier Racing Tire returns as the Official Tire of the FASTRAK Racing Series

The FASTRAK Racing Series and Hoosier Racing Tire are continuing their partnership as Hoosier remains the Official Tire of FASTRAK. The Lakeville, IN based company was founded in the early 1950s by Bob and Joyce Newton, who began their operation in an old abandoned horse barn. Today, Hoosier tires can be found in all forms of motorsports. FASTRAK is excited to continue the partnership with Hoosier over the next 3 years.

“Everyone at Hoosier Racing Tire is pleased to continue our relationship with Stan, Mary Kay, and the entire FASTRAK Team.” stated Vice President of Sales and Marketing Paul Menting. “FASTRAK has built a strong organization on the principles of consistency and loyalty to its customers, and we are pleased that they trust Hoosier to apply this same concept to their spec tires.”

The Hoosier FT200 and FT400 are the only tires allowed in FASTRAK competition. The FT200 has proven itself to be the best crate spec tire on the market, consistently showing it is a longer lasting tire and more competitive. The FT400 will have a new compound in 2019, which has led FASTRAK to eliminate grooving and siping of the harder compound beginning May 1st.

“Hoosier Racing Tire has been an excellent partner over the years,” said FASTRAK Executive Vice President DJ Irvine, “The FT200 and FT400 are the best crate spec tire on the market, Hoosier put together a great tire for FASTRAK.”

Heading into the 2019, FASTRAK is beginning a brand-new Future Stars Tour for teenage drivers in 602 Late Models. The 2019 FASTRAK World Championship will pay $50,000 to win on September 13th and 14th at Virginia Motor Speedway. The World Championship will also be broadcast as part of a 2-hour special edition of Speed51’s Short Track America on MavTV on October 30th. Additionally, the 2019 FASTRAK World Challenge, for members only, will move to Beckley Motorsports Park, paying $2,000 to win on October 4th and $5,000 to win on October 5th. The FASTRAK World Challenge will also have a $5,000 to win points fund for the two nights of racing. All of these exciting events are being supported by Hoosier Racing Tire.

“Like Hoosier, FASTRAK is always looking to challenge itself.” relayed Hoosier Product Manager Shanon Rush. “With the development of the new 602 Future Stars program, the $50,000 World Championship on MAVTV, and the changes to the World Challenge, we are excited about the possibilities for 2019 and beyond.”
