I was wondering how many people are interested in racing in the new UMP Limited Stock Car class???

I like the idea and hope it goes over well at the tracks that are hosting it. I am planning on converting mine over.

I Definitely Think This Class Has Potential. If Tracks Adopt It, I Think It Would Grow. It May Take A Year Or So. But It Would Fly. I Think The Motor Rules Need To Be Made A Little More Specific. But, From Whats Been Said They Are Probably Working On That.

The s.s/bomber class has been heading into a horsepower competition for the last couple of years now. I think that it would be great to get the cost of engines back to a point where any new drivers don't feel they have to spend a bunch on motor versus spending it on set up that can be more benificial in changing classes. Leaving it to a pump gas compression ratio just makes it more affordable to more people.
Getting someone to enforce the engines has proven to be a bit of a problem. Looking down a carb and pulling a valve cover to check head numbers says nothing about what's inside.
The sportman show at Pevely was the most I have ever been teched and that was just to start the show. I thought the pre-tech was a good thing even though it cost me 250# of lead due to location of the lead. I complied and raced. This was my goal, to be able to race there and see what the track was like.
