have you guys had to run a 410 lift cam? we have a 15 inch vacuum rule
i think i am leaving something on the table several cars just leave me on the backstretch
i am 2 tenths off of fast time every week and finished 3rd in points out of 35 cars this year but 1 car is running away in the motor dept. we must be 10-1 and are checked every week
i know isky makes a 410 lift cam but i run a howards. 3/8 asphalt 12 degrees.
my engine is 355 flat top 5.7 rod 410 lift .zero deck,64cc unported 041 head as we cant run camel back, vortec, or any gm performance head. turn 6100 cant port must run single exhaust max 2 inch exhaust pipe. i guess i could run brezenski stuff.kinda pricy but lots of horses.

custom cam

I wouldn't beleive every thing they tell you about that brezenski.
what does that imply? all that money and no horsepower increase? wouldnt i spend quite a bit of money on a custom cam ,and how do i know if i got the right one.? 410 lift max 15 inches of vacuum @ 1000 rpm.

That's why you go to a company that only does custom work like Cam Motion or Bullet. They don't cost much more than a shelf grind from Comp that might work. The brezenski stuff does work but everything else must be right to get the hp claims that they give.

Some people have removed the illegal brezenski and actually run better.

Changing cam shafts might help.

Another thing to look at is who did your valve job. Big difference in a valve job by someone who does performance work versus some place that only does work on street cars. I'm not talking about porting, just the way they do the valve job.
