HUGE EVENT: 1st Annual Malden Speedway “Bootheel 200” this Friday

(including an O’Reilly USCS winged outlaw sprint car and USCS Open Wheel Modified double-header)

Malden, MO - Malden Speedway kicks off the 2007 Southeast Missouri and Mid-South racing season this Friday and Saturday nights ( March 23rd and 24th ) with the 1st annual Malden Speedway “Bootheel 200”. The huge two-day racing event will feature racing in seven popular divisions with over 200 laps of main events. The inaugural “Bootheel 200” event is expected to bring top drivers from at least six states to Malden Speedway to compete for over $30,000 in prize money. Headlining the action will be a double-header for the popular O’Reilly USCS www.uscsracing.com winged outlaw sprint cars and the USCS Open Wheel Modifieds. The sprint cars will be racing for $2200 possible to win and it is possible to win $2000 for a clean sweep in the USCS Open Wheel Modified division. Also in action over the weekend on the racing card will be “Bootheel 200” Championships for Malden Speedway’s Late Models ($1000 to win), Hobby class ($600 to win), Street Stocks ($500 to win), E-Mod class ($500 to win) and Mini Stock division ($200 to win).

The “Bootheel 200” Pole Night is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Friday night and will include lots of racing action with qualifying races in six of the featured classes including the potent USCS Open Wheel Modifieds, Malden Late Models, Hobby, Street Stock, E-Mods and Mini Stock. A number of the expected O’Reilly USCS drivers will also be testing and tuning Friday night in preparation for Saturday night’s O’Reilly USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour season opener during several hot lap sessions through out the night.

The O’Reilly USCS www.uscsracing.com winged outlaw sprint cars arrive on Saturday for a full program of racing action including test and tune hot laps, the Lucas Oil Power Dash, qualifying heat races and main events. All six classes that are qualifying on Friday night return to action on Saturday night for trophy dashes and their B Main and A-Main events. Saturday night’s action starts at 5:00 pm with hot laps and the “Bootheel 200” Championship Finals swing into action at 6:00 pm.

Malden Speedway is located by traveling one mile Northwest of Malden on Highway 25, then two miles West on County Road 102 also known as Thunder Road. Pit Gates open on Friday at 3:00 pm and the Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. with racing action at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday the Pit Gates open at 1:00 pm.
