Huge Payouts

There has been a huge increase in the payouts for the Hobbystock/sportsman and the Modifieds at the Fredericktown Raceway. Track Owner Terry Flannigan has stepped out on faith and decided to try raising the purses for these 2 classes to build up the car counts. Last Friday there was 14 Hobby's/sportsman and 23 Modifieds. The Hobby/sportsman will be getting a garunteed winnings of $500.00 for 1st place, with a great pay on down. The Modifieds will be getting $600.00 for 1st place position in the Feature and they also have a good pay for the other remaining positions. Again guys, this is a garunteed payout every Friday night ! Where else around do you see this kind of payouts ? So, get them cars ready and come on down Friday night for the great racing action at The Rock ........ LeaDonna

I can't understand why more Hobby's/sportsman aren't making the trip to Fredricktown on friday's with such a good payout. Does anyone have any answers?

I think a lot of them believe it is still the "same old Fredericktown" where a bunch of promises were made and not always kept. That's not the case now, but like anything it's a two-way street. The promoter can make things as attractive as possible, but the drivers/owners still have to come and participate to make things work.

I went a couple of weeks ago for the first time since last year and yes things have changed, for the BETTER! It may take some time but once the word gets around the car counts will improve. Good job to everyone at the fredricktown raceway!

Actually, racing starts at 7:30 p.m. We are only 1/2 hour south of Festus on Highway 67.. You can even draw a pill as late as 7 p.m. at the pit gate.

I Have Been There The Last 3 Nights Since The Payouts Increased, And Must Say I Have Been Impressed! As Most Of You Know, Thats Sayin' Something.:D

Seriously, All Three Nights It Has Been Good Clean Racing. Guys Running Hard And Battling For Every Spot. Those Boys Down There Come To Race. The #97,#99,#53,#r7,#35,#42,and #69 Are Good Drivers With Fast Cars. There Were A Couple Others There I Wasn't Familiar With Who Weren't Bad Either. I Guess What I'm Saying Is, If You Come To The Rock, Expect To Work For What You Get. But, If You Fair Well, You'll Like The Reward!

THE PROMOTER IS DOING HIS PART. ITS TIME FOR THE RACERS TO DO THEIRS. PAYOUTS HAVE BEEN A TOPIC OF DISCONTENT FROM TIME TO TIME. WELL, HERE YA' GO, WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?

I would like to come down and run but its just too far of a pull for a friday night. there are a lot of cars in my area but I imagine they feel the same way about the drive. If I were able to make it down it would only be once in a great while. I do appreciate the efforts of the promoter though, hope things work out for the track.

Dont Forget

There will be racing there on Sunday this week-end. I dont know if that might be better for your schedule. Would love to have you ! :)

TC521, when we raced our mini stocks at Belleville it didn't take but an hour to get there from Farmington and that's just a 15 miles north of Fredericktown. Believe me, if you want to race just call and tell them you are coming and you might be running a bit late. We have people coming in and registering all the time around 7 p.m. We are trying to work with our racers because we realize work schedules are tough. Just try it some time.

1\2 an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!! At what speed?
Crazyfan, he is talking about South Festus being a 1/2 hour away. I live in what some people would call North Festus and at 65mph its more like an hours drive.
