Hurd Corrals NCRA Modified Foes at Belleville High Banks!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Belleville, Kansas - July 5, 2014 - Three-time and defending tour champion Marc Hurd claimed his first series victory in two years as he took home top honors as the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified division wrapped up a Independence holiday weekend double header Saturday night atop the famed Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas.
Dan Powers and Hurd started on the front row for the twenty lap feature with Hurd going on to claim yet another victory atop the high banks. Powers settled for second while eleventh starting Jon Thompson continued his string of strong runs to finish third. Peden Phillips came home fourth while Kirby Robe rounded out the top five.
The heat races for the twelve car field were won by Powers and Hurd.
The next event for the NCRA modified tour will be held on Friday and Saturday night, July 25-26, during the 58[sup]th[/sup] annual Hutchinson Grand Nationals in Hutchinson, Kansas that will pay $2000 to the winner.
