I got a transmission that came in a monte carlo that I have stripped out. Trying to find exactly what it is. I am thinking a turbo 350 or 400 but not too sure. On the bellhousing part of the tranny is thwe number 403 weld on it. Then on the tailshaft of the tranny is a plate riveted that says "turbo hydramatic 260-872CRF1352"....tried doing a search for them numbers but I couldn't find anything. Is there another way to identify these? Also the fluid looked great in it. If you know what this is how much would these be worth to sell. If interested let me know. It is for sale but need to know what it is and what it is worth. Thanks in advance for your help.

If it is a 350 turbo then the filter pan on bottom will be square or rectangle with one corner clipped off. If it is an AOD then it is either a 700R4 or a 200R4.

If it's a late 70's or early 80's, it's probably a 200 or 200c and dont handle abuse well (the 1 with no modulator I believe was called a 200 metric and was junk). If this is the case, then they usually got replaced w 350 turbos when they went bad. But if it works, someone could probably use it. some also had a 200r4 which was overdrive, and is easily identifiable by the extra bulge in the bottom of the long odd shaped pan hope this helps, Greg
